I Need Your Help to Fix My Car :(

This is a humbling situation for me, as just four months ago I was SO happy I’d finally quit my job that had become an albatross around my neck for years.

But my savings could only pay my mortgage for 3-4 months, and I knew I’d need to find another job soon. Problem is: no one seems to be hiring. I haven’t actually had to go job-hunting since 2011, and I thought that my resume would speak for itself. But so far? No luck.

To make matters worse, my car broke down. Why? No idea. The engine won’t turn over and I’m no car mechanic. So I now unfortunately need to pay for a tow and a diagnostic, then whatever parts/labor are needed to fix it. For the time being, I’m walking and using the bus to avoid spending money I don’t have, but where I live, a car is pretty necessary to find work. It’s one been one of the questions on every application I’ve filled out.

So now I humbly ask you for help, if you can. We have our Patreon for monthly donations, and I appreciate every single Cool Caper there. But I’ve now created a Ko-Fi account for one-time donations to help me pay for my car, and hopefully, get me back on a regular paycheck to afford my mortgage.

I’ve set a goal of $600 to cover a tow truck, a diagnostic and whatever parts and labor will inevitably be needed to get my car running again. If we can reach that goal this month, that would be a LIFESAVER.

If you’re a member of our Discord server, donating to us on Ko-Fi will automatically give you the Cool Capers role just like on Patreon, giving you a cool green name to let everyone know you helped us out. You’ll also get access to the Cool Capers Club channel to chat with us and your fellow Capers directly.

But most importantly: you’ll be helping me get back into the workforce sooner, and as a result, you’ll be helping us make episodes faster. I sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, appreciate every single person who has given even a cent toward our goal of becoming full-time Youtubers.

If you can’t donate, that’s okay! Trust me, I understand being in financial limbo. If you can share this blog post or our Ko-Fi page to get the word out, that’s also extremely helpful, and I appreciate you.
