(Hilde and Duo are seated at a table together. Hilde is looking intently at some papers while Duo is zoning out, looking at the ceiling.)
Hilde: Ugh, tax season. I get that taxes are important but hit the bigwigs. Right Duo? (Hilde notices Duo staring up at absolutely nothing) Duo.
(Duo snaps out of it, then answers with full confidence)
Duo: Hm? I agree!
Hilde: Don’t act like you know what I was talking about just now.
Duo: Well you’re usually right about stuff so odds are I was in the clear.
Hilde: I’ll give you points for flattery, but dock you some for not listening to me. So what were you thinking about?
(Duo stands up suddenly, hands on his hips, while Hilde looks up at him)
Duo: Taxes!
Hilde: You were not.
Duo: Yeah. Honestly I was trying to see how hard I could unfocus my eyes.
Hilde: (gives him a little chuckle) You’re lucky you’re cute. So what’s the verdict? (Duo is staring off again) Duo.
Duo: Hm? I agree!

Hilde: I don’t know why they keep calling him ugly. That boy is cute as hell.
